(On the 3700-CNC and 8700 CNC rotary tables, the bottom of the stepper motor mount extends slightly below the bottom surface of the table. On Sherline mills, the mount overhangs the side of the table so this is not a problem. On larger mills or flat table applications a riser plate is needed so that the stepper motor clears the table surface.)
